In partnership with the community and our employees, provide unique and functional facilities to accommodate a diversity of activities including civic, recreational, entertainment, business, traditional youth activities and the annual County Fair. A facility created for the community, with an appreciation for the rural agricultural history of Wasatch County. We will exercise stewardship over the public trust and community assets.
December 2013 – March 2014
The Wasatch County Children’s Christmas Festival and Cottages for Children will be held December 6-7, 2013 at the Wasatch County Event Center 415 South Southfield Road – Heber City, Utah 84032. This festival is full of Christmas cottages, crafts, Christmas trees and more. Proceeds from this event support the Wasatch County Children’s Justice Center and their mission to help alleged victims of child abuse with respect and caring.
Our objective in establishing Heber Valley’s Christmas for Everyone is to organize an event where, by invitation, families and individuals in our community who are in true need can come and, accompanied by volunteer hosts, choose a wrapped gift for their children and where the children can enjoy “shopping” in our gift shops of donated toys and other goods for a gift for Mom, Dad, and siblings. They also will, based on individual need, be able to receive donated clothes, blankets, coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and other needs all donated by members of the community. Our goal is to be able to serve 300 people and to have at least that many volunteers.
Donations can be taken to MIRO Industries in Heber Monday – Friday until 4:00 pm. They are located at 844 South 430 West.
Participants and volunteers will all share soup, bread, and hot chocolate together. Children can have their picture taken with Santa and top off the night by viewing a live nativity.
Join us for the Intermountain Wrestling Duels at the Wasatch County Event Center as high school wrestling from around the state meet for head to head competition.
